How to Blow Your $600 from Uncle Sam

Christmas is coming early this year for many as the 2008 Tax Rebates, aka a $150 Billion stimulus package, are rolled out to 130 million U.S. households.   Instead of attempting to dissect the politics behind this Bush/Paulson initiative, and whether or not it makes good economical sense on a macro or long term scale, I shall ask a simple question.

How are you planning to blow your $600?  I thought I would put together a short list of several options.

1. A bottle of Cristal Champagne, c. 1985

2. Two- Four Day Park Hopper Tickets, with Water Park Fun & More Option, to Walt Disney World Resort

3. Apple's 3G iPhone (Full disclosure, this is how I'm planning on doing my part to stimulate the economy.)

4. Tuxedo by Ralph Lauren for those black tie affairs.

5. Playsation 3 and Grand Theft Auto IV

And if all else falls, you could always invest it.  (Imagine that.)  Might I suggest foreign currencies?  Trust me the U.S. Economy is going to get worse before it gets better.  And don't hold your breath for this so called stimulus package to do much.  In a $13 Trillion economy, $150 Billion is but a small drop in the bucket.

Good night, and good luck.
